One of the most popular stations on FM in London in the early 80s was Thameside Radio which had a loyal following of listeners. Even today, there are several websites devoted to the station plus it has its own Wikipedia entry! Here is a little extract from the station but plenty more can be found elsewhere.

There doesn't seem to be a way to e-mail you so I'll leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteAs you are obviously aware one of the ex Thameside team does the fmthen podcast. All the Thameside one would ever want there.
The other superb collection is Radio Eric although there hasn't been anything new there for a while.
An interesting collection of QSL cards. I particularly used to enjoy Radio Krypton on 6265 on Sundays.
Thanks for your comments ... always appreciated
ReplyDeleteStill adding more shows to the to the Thameside Radio 90.2 archive on fmthen.com. It's available on iTumes (search Thameside Radio in podcasts), or as a direct download.
